3D Printing in polylactic acid, Vinyl Cut in weatherproof matte inkjet

40*32 inch

3D printing blends the physical world with the virtual, creating objects that exist both as tangible forms and as products of digital technology. This intersection of material and virtual realms invites reflection on the blurred boundaries between the two. In today’s world, what defines "real" applause? Is it the passionate response from the physical world, or the cold, mechanical “likes” on a digital platform?

The applauding hands also symbolize society’s emphasis on external performance and appearance. We often value people based on their outward expressions rather than their inner qualities. This artwork challenges our reliance on appearances and advocates for a deeper focus on inner truth and self-understanding, rather than seeking validation from external sources.

Through this piece, I aim to encourage the audience to consider the impact of technology on human emotion, and to reflect on how people navigate their identities in a world increasingly shaped by digitalization and superficial praise.
